Happy happy... Summer is Here!

I got in trouble from Katie yesterday who said that I desperately needed to update my blog as she was getting sick of seeing Cameron in her red uniform! Or something like that! Anyway, here I am. We have been BUSY! Let's see...since the last blog update, we have been on SEVERAL vacations...first a Memorial Day trip to Arizona to visit John's family...





















And have our very fun Friend Reunion.. And then to Bear Lake for a quick get-away, then finally to Irvine / Newport to visit friends and family. Whoa...that is a lot of traveling. In between all of that (or during) we have had Jackson's first birthday, John's 38thbday, Jackson's first hair cut, lots of rain (at least on one day) and more fun. We are excited that summer is here and are looking forward to many lazy days in the sun. We are also super excited for our Stayner Family Reunion coming up on July 4th and will have to post more about that then...anyway...here's a few photos to show the Bunch Update...Jackson's first hair cut or buzz courtesy of Salon de Shi! What a hottie! He is mostly walking now...he takes lots of steps but then gets frustrated at the slowness of it all and plops down to crawl..can't believe he is a year!

In the beginning of June we had a HUGE rain storm that caused the common area in our backyard to flood. Well...instead of crying over floods, our neighborhood turned it into "Quail Hollow Lake." This first photo is of a neighbor boy who brought our his boat. It is taken from our back steps...then the girls decided to join in the fun.

























We celebrated Jackson's first birthday on June 9th at Bear Lake...he took to the cake like the little man he is and loved every minute of it. So funny.
Then came the clean up...and on to roasting marshmellows...

And there you have it...a little update. We love you all and hope you have not given up on me and my blog. I promise to be better Katie. Now let's see if you actually read it...
